At Intrepid we believe that travel is one of the most entertaining, enlightening, life changing and fulfilling things you could ever do, and having operated trips throughout Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America & Europe for almost 20 years, we've got a fair idea of how good it can get.  We're one of the world’s leading small group adventure tour operators and for us travel is all about experiencing those 'real' moments; be it a laugh with a stall owner while haggling over bananas, an impromptu game of football with the local village kids, a home cooked meal under a starry desert sky or that thrill you get when you glimpse one of the great icons of the world for the first time.

Our travelers come away with some incredible photographs as we build in plenty of spare time to go for a wander down side streets or across rice fields to capture the sense of place. We call these perfect travel moments ‘real life experiences’.

Over the years, Intrepid has developed many different styles of travel — styles that share a common philosophy of getting out there and experiencing the real world — and yet styles that are quite different from each other. From our Active range which combines physical challenges such as trekking or cycling with cultural interaction, to our Comfort range which combines grassroots travel with some of life's small pleasures, there's an Intrepid adventure to suit just about every budget and comfort level. Best of all our journeys have an average group size of just 10 travellers so you have the freedom and flexibility to get off the tourist trails and really experience local cultures.

To keep up to date on Intrepid's new trips, travel features and for your chance to win a trip every week sign up for the very readable Intrepid Express Newsletter.

Special offer for TPOTY 2008 entrants - our portfolio category winners will each win one of the fabulous Intrepid trips shown below. For those of you who enter TPOTY 2008 but are not lucky enough to win, Intrepid is offering a £100 discount for you and a friend to share on those same trips.
