This category is designed to get you on the road to a career in photography. If you’re aged 17 or above and are a student, an amateur or semi-professional photographer, looking to turn professional, this is the award for you.
We want you to show us that you can tell a story in just four images. Construct your own Traveller’s Tale on any subject you like. For example, you may be documenting life in a small village, or showing the preparations for a wedding and the resulting celebrations, or illustrating how a community is struggling to survive. Or your story may have a more environmental theme or focus on conservation or redevelopment.
You can choose what story you tell but make sure it has a travel related theme and make sure every images tells a different part of the same story.
As well as submitting four images, you need to provide up to 300 words of background to your story and your photography to give a context to your images. Summarise the tale your images show in the first 200 words, then, in 100 words, tell us about yourself and your photography.
