Welcome to TPOTY online entry.
TPOTY 2012 accepts image entries by print or online, but entries in the HD Video category on DVD are by post only. To submit prints please go to the Print Entry page and follow the instructions.
Preparing your images for submitting online
We will need you to re-size your original images so that they are smaller for the image upload system. If you are selected as a finalist, you will be asked to submit prints, plus a CD or DVD of high-res files of your images by 19th October.
Original image size
For the Portfolio, Condé Nast Traveller, New Talent, One Shot and Young TPOTY categories, the original images must be high enough resolution to be printed at 30cm x 25cm (3600 pixels along longest length) at 300dpi. Images taken on a camera phone will not be accepted for these categories. The minimum requirement for First Shot is that you have used a mobile phone camera of at least 1 megapixel, or a basic digital or film camera (with the phone or camera on its highest image quality setting).
Image size for uploading for online entry
Uploaded images should be in jpeg file format and be sized to no more than 800 pixels wide. The maximum file size for uploaded images should be 1 Mb at an image resolution of 72dpi.
File names
Please do not use underscores in your file names (e.g. fred_jones_Exotic_image1.jpg).

Click the link below to be taken to the online entry image upload area. On this page we'll guide you through the process of registering for online entry, uploading your images and paying your entry fees (if applicable).
If you have any problem entering online please email us. We'll be happy to help but please be patient, especially as the closing date approaches.
PLEASE NOTE; if you enter online and are shortlisted, you will be required to submit prints for final judging. We will notify you in October 2012 if you have been shortlisted.
Entries close on 17th September, but online entry will remain open until 09.00 hours on 18th September 2012 (UK time), to allow entrants in a different time zone to the UK to complete their entries in 'their' 17th September.
