The natural world encompasses landscapes, seascapes and the flora, fauna and wildlife which inhabit them from the smallest to the largest. Our planet is a remarkable, beautiful and changing place.

This category is about the majesty of planet Earth and its wild inhabitants, its varied and changing topography, its climate and its changing environments.

You can enter B&W or colour images.

What subjects can you include?

Landscapes, seascapes, natural world, underwater, underground, environment, sky, climate, sunshine, storms, clouds, stars, wildlife, flora, fauna, mammals, birds, fish, insects etc.

How many images?

A portfolio of four (4) images.

What are the judges looking for?

Show us your creativity in capturing the planet and its wild inhabitants, its landscapes and environments. . Consistency, creativity, originality and a link between the images in your portfolio.

Am I eligible?

This category is for all photographers aged 19 years and over.

How many times can I enter?

You can enter this category as many times as you wish.

The winner of this category will receive a Fujifilm X-Series camera and lens of their choice (more info) plus membership of the Royal Photographic Society (more info).

 

The judges will also select their favourite image from all the entered portfolios. This image will be awarded a judges' Best Single Image in the 'Natural World' portfolio category. The winner will receive a Genesis Imaging giclee exhibition print (more info).
