Photography Adventures & Expeditions
From Short Breaks to Longer Adventures Around The World.
Together with our partners, Photo Iconic, we offer amazing adventures combined with the opportunity to improve your photography under the guidance of experienced tutors and professional photographers. Whether you’re a beginner or a more experienced photographer, these adventures offer fantastic photographic opportunities, balancing the photographic tuition with time to experience and photograph the people, the places, the landscapes and the wildlife. And our tutor will be on hand throughout the trip to help you when you need help with your photography, technique or composition. They'll put you first even if that means missing a great photograph themselves.
These trips are designed for unhurried photography and you'll also have fun doing it in the company of like-minded people and enthusiastic people who are passionate about photography. Come with us on an experience to remember, and acquire photographic skills that will stimulate you for a lifetime of creativity.

Photo Tours for 2017 and 2018
If you are into wildlife, nature and landscape photography we have a very special 9 day Wild Svalbard (Spitsbergen & Polar Bears) expedition on both land and sea exploring the Spitsbergen pennisula - with midnight sun giving 24 hours a day sunlight - departing 9th June 2017. The chances of seeing and photographing polar bears is high on this trip as they emerge from winter with their young cubs. Click for more info and intinerary from travel partner Hurtigruten.
Join us next February 2018, for a 6 day Northern Lights adventure in Svalbard (Spitsbergen). This is the last palce you can easily get to before you reach the North Pole and being so high in the Arctic (much further north than Iceland) the possibilities to see the Aurora Borealis fill the sky are that much better. Click for more info and intinerary from travel partner Hurtigruten.
Full details of all our photographic adventures and shorter photography workshops can be found on the Photo Iconic website.
Great photography trips....
....but don't take our word for it!
In past years we've had fantastic trips to Morocco, Kwazulu Natal in South Africa and the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia, where we were ambushed by an unexpected autumn snowfall!
Here's what one of our participants said about our Kwazulu Natal adventure:
“I want to express my sincere thanks for the most fun, enjoyable and informative trip to South Africa. It being my first photography course, I really didn't know what to expect, but my fears were put to rest the very first morning when Chris lined us up on the balcony at Isandlwana and talked about 'making' images. 'Find your picture before you grab your camera' will stick with me forever, and it really has made a huge difference to the way I 'make' pictures.
I also appreciated the way that you let us make our mistakes, noted our areas for development, and let that be the basis for our learning. I found that approach to be so much more valuable than a structured textbook or curriculum style of teaching.
I also enjoyed the challenges you threw at me on a daily basis, which steepened the learning curve significantly, and forced me to really think about what I was doing. Believe it or not, it just made the learning all the more fun.
The critique sessions were great also! Being able to see and learn from each other’s work led to a very collaborative approach, which allowed us to give constructive feedback in a safe and comfortable environment. Learning how to critique our own work, whilst being the most difficult, I also found one of the most valuable skills I took away with me.
All in all, the thing I most valued from you both was the way you have fun with photography. Your passion for the craft certainly inspired me, and the fact that I could learn and have fun at the same time was just magic! I think you've given me the bug! I've had withdrawal symptoms ever since I got back!
Thank you so much for a well organised, exciting, varied, fun, challenging and memorable trip! I can't believe it was even a 'class' at all, as I've never had so much fun learning.” Carly Adamsonson
