In this very emptiness lies the country’s magic: the vast unspoiled wilderness reaching from Namibia in the West through the Kalahari Desert to the Makgadikgadi Pans, the wetlands of Okavango Delta, and Chobe in the Northeast is one of Africa’s prime game viewing regions.
Beauty is everywhere. In the North, a geographical anomaly has created what is reputedly one of Africa’s loveliest reserves: the Okavango Delta. Here the Okavango River spills into the Kalahari, transforming the sandy waste into a vast wetland of looping channels and grassy floodplains in which countless animals thrive.
