Join a TPOTY international photo tour

TPOTY & Photo Iconic run a range of photography tours to interesting and photogenic destinations. Our next photographic tours, in conjunction with Tribes Travel and cazenove+loyd, are in March and April 2014 respectively. Join us in Bhutan and Morocco.

We are delighted to welcome award-winning travel and wildlife photographer, Steve Bloom to our list of tutors. Steve will join Chris Coe, Chris Weston and Nick Meers as tutors on some of our tours.

And we won't leave you wondering what to do while we take our own pictures. We're on hand to help you whenever you need it.

Whether you're a beginner, a keen amateur or have turned professional; whether you use a digital camera or shoot film; we can help you to improve your photography and to make better photographs.

If you want to learn a particular type of photography you can choose a landscape, wildlife, travel photography course. If you'd like to learn people photography, to photograph nature or abstracts we can also help. We can show you how to work with natural light or in low light, and explore creative techniques with movement and light.

Our photography courses are unique. Designed for small groups to provide the individual tuition that will help you improve and take your photography to the next level. So there's always one of us on hand to help you solve your particular photographic problems. Concise, practical and pragmatic advice, guidance and tuition will improve your technique and composition, help you to see stronger images and boost your confidence.

Travel Photography Live

Our annual festival of photography at the Royal Geographical Society will be held during the TPOTY exhibition. This year the festival starts on 17th July with the main event on 27th and 28th July. Join us.

The Prize In Detail

NEW TALENT - Metropolis, YOUNG TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR - Crowded Planet, EMERGING TALENT AWARD, FIRST SHOT - En Route

The two winners of the beginners category, First Shot, will win a place on one of Photo Iconic's two day, UK-based photography courses designed to help photographers with the creative aspects of their photography and become more confident with the technical side of photography which underpins this creativity.

The winner of the New Talent category will receive a Photo Iconic portfolio critique of their work.

Placed photographers in other categories, as listed above, will also receive a Photo Iconic critque to help them progress their photography to the next level.
