The Royal Photographic Society works to make photography for everyone. It was founded in 1853 to promote photography and support photographers. Today, It aims to inspire people through its exhibitions, Journal, awards and events; to help photographers create images through its educational programmes, and public initiatives, and to recognise skills and creativity through its Distinctions and qualification programmes; and it seeks to connect photographers throughout the world through membership, and the activities of its UK and international hubs and specialist groups, not least though its Travel, Landscape, Natural History and Documentary groups.
RPS membership is open to everyone with an interest in photography whether you are just starting out on your photography journey or are an experienced photography looking to put something back and support others.
