Portfolio – Landscape & Environment

TPOTY 2023 categories – Landscape & Environment portfolio

Landscapes and environments face many challenges globally, both from climate change and human impact. Think about the beauty but also the sustainability of our planet. Our planet and its landscape are stunning, unique and spectacular, despite numerous challenges to our world, some obvious and universal, such as climate change and deforestation, but also some which are more localised. So, as well as glorious landscapes, you may also submit images highlighting conservation, protection of and damage to the environment and the various ingenious ways in which people are making a difference in their attempts to protect and reduce the effects of humankind on our planet.

In a portfolio of four images (colour or black & white) we would like you to show us beautiful natural landscapes, urban landscapes, landscapes and environments under threat, the impact of climate change, and projects to preserve, protect or restore them.

By entering this category twice, or entering this category once plus one of the other four-image portfolio categories once, you will automatically be considered for the top award and the title of Travel Photographer of the Year 2023.

ALL finalists in the portfolio categories will be considered for one of two special judges’ awards. The two selected finalists (who can come from any of the four portfolio categories) will have a portfolio review by a leading New York photographer’s agent.

What subjects can you include?
