Photography has always been used as a way to make sometimes difficult and complex stories more impactful and easy to understand. In this category, the judges will be looking for a coherent train of thought in the images which, taken as a portfolio, tells a specific story. The story can be anything travel related, from people and cultures to environment and the natural world.
In a portfolio of four images we would like you to tell us a story, visually, using four images. Each image should tell a different part of the same story. You can choose the subject of your story but it must be travel-related.
ALL finalists in the portfolio categories will be considered for one of two special judges’ awards. The two selected finalists (who can come from any of the four portfolio categories) will have a portfolio review by a leading New York photographer’s agent.
By entering this category twice, or entering this category once plus one of the other four-image portfolio categories, you will automatically be considered for the top award and the title of Travel Photographer of the Year 2023.
