How do you make your images? How do you approach your photography. Shoot a short film, up to one minute, showing how you work when you’re trying to get a specific shot or more generally how you approach shooting travel and a travel genre.
What subjects can you include?
This is a fun category but a chance to show the world how you set about taking images. It’s only a one minute film so think more in terms of an social media short reel than a high production film. It can be any sort of travel-related photography or image. It can be funny or serious, but make it engaging. Think Instagram reel with a prize!
This category is a standalone award and entries are not considered in selecting the winner of the overall title of Travel Photographer of the Year 2025.
What are the judges looking for?
A short (up to one minute) film which makes them watch from start to finish and gives an insight into a photographer at work or the making of an image. You can add a soundtrack (licensed or license-free) either as music or other audio.
How many images?
One (1) video/short film per entry.

No! We have always allowed entrants to submit images from their archives – i.e. contemporary photography shot in recent years – and have always said that ‘travel starts when you leave your home’. So it’s your choice. You can travel locally or travel further afield. Entries close on 13th October.

No AI generated video or content will be allowed and any entered will be disqualified.
