Welcome to the latest in a series of posts focusing on individual categories in this year’s Travel Photographer of the Year awards.
THRILLS & ADVENTURES
Whether you’re on an expedition to climb a mountain like Kilimanjaro, taking your first bungee jump, catching a wave, learning to snorkel, conquering a fear of heights or simply venturing into the big city for the first time, show us your adventure, large or small, and capture the thrill and excitement it brought. Your portfolio of four images can include anything that conveys your sense of adventure, action, excitement, exhilaration.
The winner of the Thrills & Adventures category will receive a Fujifilm XT-3 camera with 18-55mm lens, a jacket and trousers from Páramo and membership of The Royal Photographic Society. The judges will also select their favourite image from all the entered portfolios. The winner will receive an exhibition print from Genesis Imaging.
This category is open to photographers aged 19 and over and you can enter B&W or colour images.By entering this category twice, or entering this category once plus one of the other four-image portfolio categories once, you will automatically be considered for the top award and the title of Travel Photographer of the Year 2019. Entries close October 15th.
